hi i just activated my telnet on my server and my soap
and i still not recieve my item from the store

Ok found why, CMS dosen't but is there a way to get cms work with special chars ?

At this moment, I have yet to have the opportunity to look into how to fix compatibility with UTF-8 characters for Character Names. Also, I've moved your thread to the proper forum, as this is a Technical Support thread.

by the way, im having trouble with my store here is my problem :

when i use the lan ip adress everithing work (192.168.0.195:8080)

and if i use my website in online mode : azeroth-wow.uphero.com/page?=store_select i recieve fail because my server is offline (im working on a translated by me version of azer cms v3.14)

if needed i can send credencial to log and try.

i turned around all the day to try to figure what is not working...

Telnet is on (Client and Server)

tried port 3443,7878 8081...

anyway please help me :)

Leave $port_host as the address it's at. Change $db_host and $soap_host both to 127.0.0.1, and then for your realm in the ACP, change the SOAP Port to 7878.

You should be good to go after that.

Ok Everithing is translated in my pages :) and my soap is back working, but i need help for soap to use specials chars that can be used in utf8 and french language. for now i settled my server to strict latin chars to solve probleme with specials chars caracters names. but i want this to work :)

i can share my translation if somebody want it ! im gonna try to work on a language system to toggle from FR to EN

Here is the solution to the utf8 encoding

1) Open : core/inc/fuction.php

before each


$sql(X) = $db->query ...

add these lines

$sql(X) = $db->query ("set character_set_client='utf8'");
$sql (X) = $db->query ("set character_set_results='utf8'");
$sql (X) = $db->query ("set collation_connection='utf8_general_ci'");

the (X) mean if it exemple $sql_char you will have to put $sql_char = $db->query ("set....");

You should use utf8mb4 as the charset to prevent confusion. The CMS currently uses utf8mb4 as the charset for many things, so mixing both the regular utf8 charset and utf8mb4 can possibly confuse people in the future. It is generally recommended to use utf8mb4 in place of utf8 nowadays as well. And the collation is set to utf8mb4_unicode_ci as well, so try not to use another one for that.

I do appreciate you posting the solution to compatibility, though. I will try to implement an update soon, but no guarantees. It all depends on my schedule. My job is taking up a lot of my time nowadays. (bare minimum of forty-five hours of my week, not to mention the unintentional over-time that occurs daily)
